Helping Every Child Shine
ABOUT US
“Mistakes are proof that you are trying,”
At Jump into Literacy, our mission is to help every child feel confident, empowered, and proud of their learning. Our goal is for all students to become confident readers and writers.
We embrace our motto, “Mistakes are proof that you are trying,” to create a space where children feel supported, excited to explore, and safe to take risks. In our learning environments, effort is celebrated, curiosity is encouraged, and every step forward matters.

OUR STORY
In early 2020, Nicole Schlesinger, a literacy and special education educator, recognized that many children begin to doubt themselves when learning feels rigid, rushed, or disconnected from their interests. She believed there had to be a more nurturing approach. One that honors each child’s strengths while gently supporting their challenges. This belief led her to found Jump into Literacy. Her goal was to create a space where reading and writing are not sources of stress, but tools for expression, connection, and confidence. What began as individualized tutoring has grown into a warm, supportive learning environment that offers both targeted instruction and creative enrichment classes, partnering closely with families to help children thrive academically and emotionally. Nicole is deeply committed to helping children discover their strengths and approach learning with confidence and joy.
