OUR APPROACH

Tutoring Structure

The first tutoring session is a “get-to-know-you” class where we assess your child’s strengths, build rapport, and share our suggested plan. Every tutoring lesson thereafter is tailored to the child's needs with a structure of guided literacy instruction, creativity, movement, games, and meaningful projects.

Enrichment Structure

Every enrichment class starts with a mini-lesson followed by hands-on exploration, collaborative projects, and active engagement. At the start of each term of an enrichment class, the first lesson will also incorporate icebreakers.

OUR STORY

Founded with Heart

In early 2020, Nicole Schlesinger, a literacy and special education educator noticed that many children begin to doubt themselves when learning feels rigid, rushed, or disconnected from their interests. She believed there had to be a more nurturing way of teaching; one that honored each child’s strengths while gently supporting their challenges. Her belief motivated her to design a place where children feel seen, celebrated, and empowered.

Nicole wanted to ensure that children had a place where reading and writing weren’t sources of stress, but tools for expression, connection, and confidence. What began as individualized tutoring grew into a warm learning space offering both targeted support and creative enrichment classes, partnering closely with families to help children thrive academically and emotionally.

Meet Nicole Schlesinger

Nicole is a dedicated educator with a deep belief that every child deserves to feel successful and confident with their learning. She brings heart, intention, and creativity to every lesson, designing curriculum tailored to each child and grounded in the belief that learning should be fun, meaningful, and engaging.

She holds a master's degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in early childhood and special education. She has taught students from pre-kindergarten through 9th grade.

She specializes in literacy and special education, with experience supporting children with ADHD and learning disabilities. She uses games, creative exercises, and multi-sensory activities to help children grow.
