At Jump Into Literacy, we believe the best way to learn is through the senses. Cooking the Alphabet is designed specifically for children aged 5 and up who are ready to begin their reading journey but want a playful, hands-on environment to do so.
The "Ingredients" of the Class:
We turn the kitchen into a laboratory of sounds. Each week, we explore a new letter through its shape and sound using multisensory play and a simple, kid-friendly recipe. By the end of the year, your child won't just have a collection of favorite recipes; they will have the skills to start decoding the world around them

Ages: 5+ (For children who don't yet know how to read and want to start)

The Grand Finale: My First Recipe Book
As we cook our way through the year, students will document their progress. At our end-of-year celebration, every child will take home their very own Personalized Recipe Book. This isn't just a list of snacks, it’s a portfolio of their literacy growth, featuring the letters they’ve mastered and the words they can now read.
